Ever find a piece of art you really like, but the frame is just not to your liking? That can be changed with something a simple as paint.

When I spotted this art at a local thrift shop I knew it would be perfect for my transitioning from Summer to Fall decor. Really, sunflowers are a perfect theme year round.
And lets talk about the price. It was $10 but 50% off that week. SCORE! Love a good thrifty bargin.

The frame was gold and green and just not my favorite. Well that can be fixed easy with just a coat or two of antique white paint.
I got to work painting it inside, because OMG it has been hot here lately.

Once it was dry, I took 150 grit sandpaper to it and distressed the edges of the entire frame.

All done and ready to add to my transitional summer to fall mantle. Read more about that HERE
