Let’s mix in inexpensive touches of Spring to your home

It’s that time of year when we all start to get spring fever. Let me show you how to add simple & beautiful signs of spring to your home.
I have spring fever BIG TIME! Not to mention the need to change up my decor?

I know there are many places in the country that are still cold. As a matter of fact, I have friends that still have some snow lingering around. With that in mind, I want to suggest we just pretend that it is spring and start adding small touches to our homes.
Adding tiny touches of spring into your home can make a huge difference to your emotional level.
I am a big believer in artificial flowers for just this situation. Stores start getting in their Spring collections in early February. Target is one of my favorites for their Bullseye Target spot.
You can pick up inexpensive artificial flowers there and couple them with fresh flowers.
As long as you love them, USE THEM!

Do you remember when you were a kid and would run out to play in rain puddles?
I would giggle and giggle with every single splash of water that hit my face!
I think that is why I always feel the need to add in a pair of rain boots into my spring spaces.
In the first place, I own them, and secondly, they remind me of being a young a heart kid with no cares in the world!

Use what you own or is FREE.
If you don’t have a pair to use, they are very easy to find at any thrift store. Not to mention a friend may have a pair they would loan or give you.
I think what I LOVE the most about spring is the light and airy feel you bring to your home.

When we all get the need to “spring-ify” ( ok maybe not a word, but let’s pretend)
So many of us start dreaming of whites, woods and greens.
Here I have them all. I love the contrast of the old wooden bucket with the creamy white crock. The secret to making it inexpensive is to use what you already own.
Both of these items are in my everyday decorating. I added some greenery that I thrifted, the artificial hydrangeas. The tall greenery is from Hobby Lobby. You may even be lucky enough to have some trees starting to bud in your area. Me not so much!

The first thing to remember is, one word, KISS…. Keep It Simple Stupid.
It is important to do what brings you JOY!
Just adding those few small touches can brighten your area.
